I wasn't going to post anything today, but last night something bad happened. There was a large lightning storm in my area. We were out of town and of course the power went out. Well when I got home this a.m. my UPS was off and so was my server running Proxmox. The short story to this was my server was dead the hard drive running my Proxmox and HA was ruined. Being a smart home hoarder like me I had another hard drive. Plugged it and we were back up. Installed proxmox again using this video:
Then after that was done I used this video to get google drive back up to get the snapshot that I had already ready in Google drive from the night before.
Unfortunately there is more configuration required to get things working the way they were but at least I got my Home Assistant back. At least I know there is a way to recover from disaster.
